So you are thinking of joining or have recently joined a network marketing company? That is great! Are you wondering what to do next? Well today we are going to discuss the do’s and don’ts of network marketing. Let’s start with the don’ts first and get those out of the way.
The Don’ts of Network Marketing
- Don’t post pics or links to your MLM companies products or services on social media.
This one is very important so I will say it again. Don’t post pictures or links on social media of your MLM products and services.
- Don’t spam your friends and family.
Build your business online and recruit from your blog and content. If you’re your friends and family are interested they will see your results and success and come to you for it.
- Don’t debate with people who are against MLM companies.
This is a waste of your time that you could be using to talk with people that are interested. Some people have negative thoughts and feelings about MLM companies and that’s ok. Those are not the people you want to try and recruit. Arguing with them is unprofessional and makes you look desperate for a signup.
- Don’t post pictures like the one below on your site and networks
It makes you look conceded and that you don’t care about anyone but yourself. After all this is a people business!
- Don’t talk about getting rich quick.
For most people when they hear that they automatically stop listening because they think it is a scam. Network marketing just like any other business is hard work. It requires dedication, time, and let’s face it, money to be successful.
The Do’s of Network Marketing
Now that we got a few of the big don’ts out of the way let’s discuss some of the do’s
- Brand yourself online. Your MLM is not your company, you don’t own it. You are your company.
A blog is needed in this business, it should be your hub to everything you do online. Make sure that you have a real domain name and blog and not one of the free ones like blogger or tumbler. You need your place on the internet that you own and control.
- Post pictures of you working by your pool from home with a caption that reads “Love making money sitting by my pool.”
Why do it that way? Because it creates curiosity to what you do from home. People will comment and message you asking what it is you do. This gives you an opportunity to build that relationship, see what they need and help solve their problems.
- Do network with other people in the MLM business.
A lot of people in this business are eager to help others succeed. Heck that is why a majority of them get in the business. Even if they are with a different company and didn’t sign you they most likely will be very friendly and will want to network with you and share ideas.
- Do have the necessary tools to stay on top of your game.
We already talked about how you need a blog, but here are a few more items you will need. An auto responder for your list. Ever heard the saying the money is in the list? Well that is the truth you need to build your list and interact with your list. Next a CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) a CRM is exactly what it sounds like a tool to help you build relationships with your customers. And a Funnelizer is needed. This is very important, you need to be able to create your own funnels with offers to your products and services to help build your list.
- Do create meaningful and relative content.
This is very important you need to offer something to your readers, viewers, listeners, etc. that will help them. Make sure it is targeted at your market or niche or it will have no effect on building your business.
